Honda BR-V crossover has seating for seven and is now on sale in Thailand:

The Japanese automaker recently debuted the production series BR-V seven seat crossover during the Thailand International Motor Expo which took place last month, and now the model is offered across the local market dealerships.

Honda has come up with yet another crossover that uses three letters for the designation – which might become rather confusing soon: we have the international HR-V small and CR-V compact sport utility vehicles. But now the Thai auto market also gains the BR-V, which is an entry-level seven-seater “Active Sport Crossover” also residing in the highly successful sub-compact segment. In Thailand, which is currently the only market where it has become available, the model is offered packing a single engine – a 1.5-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC product delivering 117 horsepower and mated to a new continuously variable transmission. This engine is also usable with E85 fuel (ethanol), so the BR-V could also become a viable solution for other markets where the fuel is readily available (we’re thinking about the Brazilian market) and prove as a viable solution for big families looking for transportation on the cheap.

Honda Thailand is offering the BR-V with five exterior body paints and a well though array of safety systems: ABS, dual front airbags, hill start assist (HSA), vehicle stability assist (VSA), and electronic brake distribution (EBD). Inside the cabin sits a 6.1-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system which is also linked to a rearview camera, while the system is also compatible with Android and iOS devices and even sports a HDMI port besides the regular USB, AUX sockets and Bluetooth connectivity. The seven-seater comes with a 50:50-split third row and the five-seat version has a 60:40-split second row. Pricing for the latter starts at 750,000 baht (almost $21,000) and the seven seat version will set owners back at least 820,000 baht (almost $22,900).
