Honda to move Acura ILX production to Marysville

Honda plans to shift production of its Acura ILX sedan from its Indiana operation to its Marysville plant, the company said today.
The goal is to “better utilize the automaker’s flexible manufacturing systems.”
“Our associates in Indiana have done a great job in launching and establishing the ILX product,” said Jeff Conrad, Acura vice president and general manager, in a statement.
“However, this move will strengthen its position in the Acura lineup and allow us to meet customer demand, as well as prepare for future production.”
